Insure Expats was set up by two expat residents in Spain with the desire to improve insurance services for clients. As the majority of expats in Spain will know, getting anything done is always very “mañana, mañana”.

While this can sometimes be a positive, it’s not ideal when talking about insurance claims or worse still, trying to get urgent cover out of hours!

The problems & how we solve them

Getting insured should be an easy process, and it can be. After extensive research across the market, and speaking to many expats, we found that there are two main problems that people tend to encounter with their insurance in Spain.

What you should know about Insure Expats is that we have identified, and tackled these two problems head on, and they are no longer an issue.

Transparency

An issue that we wanted to solve was not being notified of a renewal price from your insurer.

What most expats in Spain don’t realise is that their insurance will automatically renew year on year.

However, if you wish to change insurers, you (generally) have to give one month’s notice PRIOR to the end of your current policy.

The trend that we noticed was that insurers/brokers were not giving sufficient notice to clients in order to give a months’ notice to leave.

We believe that clients should have the transparency of knowing their renewal price in advance. We will notify you!

Making a claim

The second issue that many expats in Spain will be aware of, are the communication problems involved in making an insurance claim.

The process isn’t made very straightforward and with a potential language barrier as well, this was something we wanted to streamline.

With Insure Expats, you will have access to an English speaker throughout the entire process.

Your dialogue before, during and after contracting your policy for any of the insurances we offer, will be in English.

For your peace of mind, there is also a dedicated English speaking claims department.

Another thing to note about Insure Expats is that all of our staff are qualified to a minimum of Level 2 in the Advised Sale of Spanish Insurance. You can rest assured that you are receiving the best possible care and advice in relation to your insurance and insurance backed investment products.
